In 2019, the government agreed to give solar buyers a 30% tax credit for any new solar installation. That percentage decreases by 4% every year, and is no longer available by 2022. So in 2020 the credit is worth 26% for the following tax year, and in 2021, the available tax credit is 22%. By 2022, the tax credit offer will be unavailable. Now is the best time to invest in solar.

SImply put: solar panels convert the energy from the UV rays the sun emits. These solar panels convert sunlight radiation into electricity through what are called “photovoltaic” cells. (Photovoltaic cells are energy harvesting technology). These cells store the energy harvested from the sun, and feed the fuel your home’s electric needs.

The price of the project depends on many factors, including the size of the home, and the amount of solar panels needed to power the property. There is no cookie cutter price for solar; we design coverage for each property in a way that maximizes the available in order to save your hard earned dollars. Solar is becoming more affordable every year, with active government subsidies helping to decrease the overall cost of solar. Solar electric ranges from $.05 – $.07 a Killowatt-hour versus the utilities; you can also add batteries for around $.13 – $.15 a Killowatt-hour

A Killowatt-hour is a type of electrical energy measurement; a Killowatt is a power consumption of 1,000 watts for every hour.

The average rate for STANDARD electricity is 13.19 cents for every kilowatt hour.

  • 50″ LED Television: around 0.016 kWh per hour (21 cents per hour)
  • Most ovens are around 2.3 kWh per hour (30 cents per hour)
  • Electric water heater: 380-500 kWh per month (about $52.82 – $69.50 a month)

The average rate for SOLAR electricity is 6 cents for every kilowatt hour.

  • 50″ LED Television: around 0.016 kWh per hour (.09 cents per hour)
  • Most ovens are around 2.3 kWh per hour (13.8 cents per hour)
  • Electric water heater: 380-500 kWh per month (about $22.80-$30 a month)

Solar is efficient, and helps to reduce your carbon footprint, decreasing harmful emissions that are toxic to the health of our environment. Not to mention, statistics have shown that Redding, California is the second sunniest city in the country, with 88% average annual sunshine!

Our solar panels use direct and indirect sunlight to create power, but are of course most effective during the sunny seasons. So in short, yes, solar panels still work when clouds or rainy days block the sun’s rays. Keep in mind, that rain is actually a helpful cycle for solar panels, as the rain water naturally rinses dirt and dust from the surface. Contrary to popular belief, It’s actually been proven that solar often operates more efficient in the cooler months.

Solar can technically be installed anytime of year. Although the summer months are typically the most popular, the winter months are the most ideal time for installation, and can often be the least expensive time to install. On average, it takes about 45 days for your solar panels to fully start to take effect, so it’s often beneficial to beat the heat, and install before utilities are at their highest.

An average solar install takes 1-3 days, & is dependent on the size of the property and number of solar panels.

Yes! Commercial solar installation is becoming increasingly more common, and is an incredible way to add value to your business. Business solar installation creates opportunity for significant tax benefits. Investing in solar, invests in our future, instead of utilities.
